It's a 1-1.5 hour trek to the waterfall. The trek is easy, and the waterfall is a great picnic place. We visited on a weekday so there were not many people visiting. Would have done the summit trail if we had the time.

Not too far from Kuching, perfect for a half a day excursion (or even full day). The waterfall is nice and the trails easily identifiable.

is this park worth going to the extent that it means I get to spend one day less in Mulu? Been debating this for two days and I can't make up my mind. Thanks for your input.

spend more on Mulu. A day trip can generally cover Kubah NP. if you have to decide summit or waterfall, go for the waterfall it was soo huge and amazing and worth it.
