Located inside Fort Margherita, this museum is a great place to walk through learning about the history of the area. Take the time to read the displays. The staff were very kind and were there to answer any questions.

Loved this small museum about the White Rajahs of Sarawak. As other people have mentioned the only challenge is getting there...wish the riverside path went in front of the Legislative Building; would be a lovely walk.More

This is an exhibition on James Brooke( the white raja) a British soldier who ruled Sarawak from 1842-1868 and his family continued to rule until 1946. The building is quite interesting with narrow stairs and a rooftop overlooking the city. Enterance fees is Rm 20...More

This cute museum is housed in a 3-story fortress across the river from all of the hotels. We learned a lot about the white rajahs and the history of Kuching/Sarawak. I would recommend a visit!

Take the sampan to the jetty. Walk up the stairs, around the abandon school and through the grounds. About 8 mins from jetty to the fort.
