Lots of cat monuments throughout Kuching from sculpted bushes in parks to this monument near Chinatown. The cat seems to be venerated though I found very little explanation at each display, having to rely on my helpful taxi driver to explain the significance.

This cat monument is the landmark of Kuching city. It is located in the center of a busy road junction. But, it is a must visit! A perfect spot for a memorable picture of Kuching.

This is a must for sure. One of the best cat statues in the city and great for pictures. I would come twice - once during the day and another at night. Great area to walk around and explore too!
