Welcome to the Delaware & Ulster Railroad, located in the heart of New York State's legendary Catskill Mountains. The D&U is an excursion train that combines railroad nostalgia with scenic rides. Step back in time as you board the historic D&U. Your journey will include an ever changing landscape while you enjoy a leisurely ride along the pristine waters of the East Branch of the Delaware River. The Arkville depot offers a terrific exhibit chronicling the important role the railroad played in the development of the region. There's a gift shop that offers a unique shopping experience that will help commemorate your trip or delight someone special who is waiting for your return.

Any day on a train is a good day... But this railroad had Terrible accommodations. Bathrooms filthy. No narration on excursion. No special consideration for child traveling in wheelchair. No snacks available on or off train. The good news the views were beautiful.

We took friends visiting from Germany on this train ride - they were 2 adults and 2 children. What a ride they had - they didn't expect an antique train like this to be running, and what a beautiful sightseeing tour it provided. They want...More

Great to see an old operational train. The younger children got very antsy on the hour long train ride to Roxbury and back, there was only scenery to watch. The adults enjoyed that part of the trip. A little nerve wracking with young children walking...More

Nice slow scenic ride along a branch of the Delaware River. Beautiful range of colors covering the mountains. The Roxbury station "museum" was nothing to talk about, but a crew member gave me a penny the train had flattened, for my daughter. The station at...More
