Walked from the old town to the camel area very day. Great walk very windy. Stopped for coffee and did the return. The walk itself took about 25 minutes each way. A variety of restaurants/coffee shops to watch the world and the camels go by.

We stayed on the Essaouira beach for half of day and it was nice. It was not that much of people, the water was cold. It was relaxing to just laying there.

Wonderful beach, but lots of camels and associated droppings. Locals are very friendly but the beach bars are quite pricey. Recommend taking a long walk to the South along the beach in the morning. You can be quite alone a few miles from the end of the built up beach and horses and dune buggies are not there yet.

We were lucky, it was not so windy so we could walk and swim. Its a beautiful beach, the sand is very fine and the view is amazing!

Visited Essaouira on a day trip. The beach was okay, the tide quickly came in. The palm trees were lovely.

Nice beach with a couple of wattersport spots at the end of it, also a couple of cafes. It's clean and for the one who like horses and camels you can also have a ride here :)

Beautiful sandy beach goes on for miles and miles. We didn't swim. We went quad biking at the far end of it with Diana Quad - they were brilliant.

We visited with the intention of going to the beach for a swim. We managed to go in to the sea but it was still early in the year and so quite cold, but it was also very windy. The beach was clean but beware of people selling tat as they come up regularly. Benches along the path next to... More
