75 min rough boat ride from Vilanculos (Villas do Indico Lodge) to Paradise Island, small boat, not suitable for Kids. The Paradise Island is more or less covered the concrete ruins from a bigger old Hotel complex, rubish all over the small beach next to the landing point, snorkeling reasanable, other snorkeling Point at the very southern Point of the... We did the one day tour from Vilankulos. The price was a bit expensive but it was really worthy. During our trip we visited 2 of the Island (Bazaruto and Benguerra). Firstly we did some snorkeling and enjoy an amazing lunch (prepared by the boat crew) and after that we have some time to chill or snorkel more, and visited... More

We took a daytrip to the Bazaruto island. The island was beautiful. The trip to and from the island with a boat called Sailaway was an accident asking to happen. Some of the safety jackets were in a very poor condition. Safety procedures were not discussed with the 25+ passengers. The tour guide was busy looking after the best interest... More

The one day trip it is expensive but is the only way to see the island. You leave from Vilanculos in the morning and return in the evening. Nice views and so far the best spot I have ever done snorkeling in my life.

We visited three of the islands and loved the soft sand, warm water and snorkling. Make sure you ask the locals for the best snorkling spots. We found ok places but not as good as most Fijian islands. But there's something exotic about Mozambique so the quality of the snorkling didn't really matter. The real surprise was walking around the... More

We stopped over here for a while to have lunch & wait for the tide to be right so we could snorkel Two mile reef. There are some amazing shells here & some very large sand dunes to climb, look put for the wild goats, plenty of them, water is clean & this place is mostly quit, enjoyed the stay,... More

After spending a perfect day on Bazaruto island I understand now why it is called the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean'. It truly is an untouched paradise, Mile after mile of deserted sandy beaches. Breathtakingly beautiful!!

Spent a day trip at Bazaruto Island with my wife. Truly amazing. One ,if not the best place I have ever been. Wish I could afford to stay in a lodge there for a week, to explore. Speed boat trip out, stopped at smaller Island first, then Bazarito. Climbed the dune. Views are awesome. Swam in lagoon, walked around more... More

This island is a must when travel to Mozambique. Golden beach at your feet and you do feel like you are the only person on the island. Bazaruto is known for the scuba diving, but you only need a snorkel to see lovely fish. Here you will meet your soul,
