It was one of the best ever events I have attended in a long while. This was the best fireworks display I have seen in years. I came away amazed!

Great park with lots of room to roam, play with your pup, go for a walk/run/bike ride/roller skate, etc. They're currently renovating the pool, which should be nice when it reopens. There's a big jungle gym for the kiddos. Pretty riverfront views.

One of my favorite places in Astoria! It’s a nice place for all people to walk, bike, or just layout a blanket and relax. In the summer they have a pool.

This park is right on the East River with great views of Manhattan. It is at the shore between the Robert F Kennedy and Hellgate Bridges. There is a paved walking area near the shore (Shore Boulevard) with 19th St. at the other edge.
There are many sports venues in the park, but I was there to walk. There is a free parking lot .
The RFK Bridge traffic is loud but it is The City!
We saw cormorants, ring-billed gulls, a pair of mallards and brants while visiting.
There were many dogs in the park running off leash.

This is a gem of a park that borders Queens and the East River. We went while visiting from out of state on a cool spring evening after dinner. Great views of Manhattan as the sun was setting! Park has lots of trees, a large public pool, and seems to be a great neighborhood gathering spot.

My son lives a couple blocks from Astoria Park and I enjoy walking along the river when I'm visiting and have some free time. It is peaceful and beautiful.

A freezing December day is not the best time to visit, but the park has lots of trees, lawns, a swimming pool, rest rooms and views across Eat River towards Manhattan. I imagine it would be extremely popular in the right weather. It’s a 10 minute walk from the Astoria Ditmars Boulevarde Station (N and W Line) to the end of Ditmars Boulevarde but there’s plenty of parking should you wish to drive.

Our humble park is the heart of the neighborhood. We have the largest municipal pool in NYC and arguably one of the best views of the city at sunset. Also, great walking area along the East River. Also a track for measured walking.
I <3 Astoria Park!

I will be driving up there, and wondering where’s the best place in the park to take pictures of our car ☺️ Going on a Saturday or Sunday so what time would be the best to arrive? Also, What address should I put in the GPS for the particular location for the purpose?

Get there early. There is a very small parking lot. Lots to do. Hiki g, dog walking, swimming.
I’m planning to come to the fireworks display tomorrow evening with my daughter. I’m in my 70s and find it difficult to sit on the ground. Is there any seating?

Come early and bring a lawn chair with you, get a good spot in the middle of the field and make sure it is close to the river too. Place will get super crowded - Also bring mosquito repellent and if you want to bring your kids back, be sure to check out Astoria Values Center - they are a great place for kids related events and attractions. They are on the corner of 23rd Street and 24th Avenue
