Lots of interesting villages, great views and exciting mountain climbs and walks. A few great Hotels as well make this a great weekend escape

Visiting the Jebel Khadr is a must if you stay in or near Nizwa. Go at Birkhat Al-Mauz if you do not have a 4wd and you can hire a guide to go up the mountain. One needs a 4wd to go up.

How about Camping at Jebel Akhdar ? We are couple. Is it safe to stay overnight in tent over there? I checked weather forecast which seems to be fine for camping so I would like to have tips for camping in Jebel Akhdar.

Actually, You send me a PM. Which I've already replied. It's a safe place. But you have to take proper clothes for surviving from low temperature and wind. Better if you can plan and take necessary materials for the camp... More
