Just incredible views, really friendly locals. Such a lovely place. It is easy to get to and doesn't need an off-road vehicle. To reach the cave requires you to be a reasonably capable swimmer. Trainers that you don't mind getting wet are fine.

The place was refreshing and has a great atmosphere. We arrived at Wadi Shab 8:30 am and since it is summer, it's warm and humid but we enjoyed the view by taking pictures.

This was our favorite experience in Oman! We went early, around 8:30, and I would recommend to avoid the heat. We approached from Sur and the highway signs were very good. The exit is about 2km after Tiwi. The hike itself is 40-45 minutes to...More

Wadi Shab is an interesting place however involves walking. The main attraction is more than 25 minutes walk in risky path, I would not recommend it for little kids there are water pools at the end but compared with other wadi this is a bit...More

So this was probably the highlight of our trip, but the ratio of people to water was a little bit high for me. In other words, even though it wasn't super busy, there's not a great deal of accessible water, and after travelling for 'a...More

The spot is around 165 ms away from Muscat on the Qurayat Sur highway. It is a straight road from the Amerat ROP roundabout with no turns at all, and hence no chance to miss the road. The place is just super awesome except for...More

It was too hot to hike up to the pools so we just saw the entrance to the wadi. Nothing special here, so we will have to come back on a cooler day and take the time to do the entire adventure.

Normal car is fine. Get there before lunch if possible, as there is limited parking. You will have to get a boat across the waterway to start the ~40min journey (via foot).
