Maybe wrong time of the year...but the "gardens" were not kept well, not may flowers. Looks like someone put together junk to "decorate ".

I love these gardens. We have been here twice quite a few years apart. The lady who owns the property is special and it is her personal philosophy that adds charm and inspiration to her garden. To get there you need a car and the entry fee is about $5. You ring a bell so that she or her son... More

The beautifully landscaped garden has wonderful creatures made from material you would find in nature and is an excellent place for your children to run around and play, even has swings and a merry go round. Covered areas to explore and have a picnic with incredible view of Boquete valley.

A misnomer if Ive ever seen one. Its just a looping trail on a small piece of land kept open so the owners can pick up a little extra change. It did one redeeming quality in its favor and that is a somewhat fair view.

Having lived close to El Explorador gardens, I have made several visits during different times of the year here. what a fun place to spend an hour or two and to bring visitors. The views are great, the gardens beautiful and the quirky art work fun! Spend time here!

I strolled these gardens on my own today---- relaxing walk in the beauty of the flowers and shrubs with a smile at the humor in the surrounding art! I found 3 swings to enjoy ! Located very close to Boquete. Is hilly so not w/c accessible--- could be very slippery when it rains. Would not recommend for small children due... More

This garden is decorated with reused, upcycled goods like blenders, toasters, sewing machines, and old TVs. There are lots of old license plates painted over with words of wisdom (in Spanish, of course). It's quite cute to be honest.

This place is amazing. What a fun and whimsical adventure. The clever signs posted around are great for those of us learning Spanish. Humorous, witty and wise. Gardens are beautiful and the hosts were so gracious and welcoming. Going back with a friend next week!

I have to say, this was probably one of the least-expected and more memorable experiences I've had while traveling. El Explorador is basically someone's very large yard, front and back, that has been decorated in a most whimsical and DIY way with found objects and sweet, pithy, and often quite deep little sayings posted all over the place (in Spanish)....
