had a great meal here

took an Edgars tour and they included lunch at this site. Wonderful trout, chicken, potatoes and veggies cooked under hot rocks. Some local dancing for entertainment with lunch.

I stayed with a family on the Luqina Chico peninsula as part of a tour with GAdventures. The locals were extremely welcoming as soon as we arrived on the island, greeting us with music and dancing, and dressing us in traditional clothing. We even managed to get a game of football going with the locals. The families had great quality... More

Stayed here as part of a G-Adventures trip. Friendly, welcoming family hosts with lovely and surprisingly comfortable accommodation and good, rustic food. Fun activities including football against local team and traditional dancing. All an easy boat trip from Puno.

We did an overnight homestay at Luquina chico as part of our 15-day G Adventures Peru Panorama tour. We got to stay with one of the families on the island, and in return, we brought them food as a gift. The families were very welcoming. The afternoon we arrived, the local children played a game of soccer with the tourists,... More

To enjoy the scenic southern shores of Lake Titicaca, we went on a day's drive to the Chucuito Peninsula and the tiny village of Luquina Chica. The road winds around the lake and then up and over the peninsula, with stunning views of tranquil farming communities and lakeside fishing boats. First stop was just out of Puno, at the Tortora...
