Had a wonderful visit of about 90 minutes with my mother-in-law this afternoon. I'm continually blown away by the historical importance of this area of New York, though frequently sad about the state of sites that have fallen into disrepair. I was, however, happy to hear the incredibly entertaining and informative stories about Harriet Tubman from our tour guide, Christine.... More

My friend and I went on Feb 23, our guide, Christina, was very knowledgeable and we loved her enthusiasm. If you're a history buff it's well worth a visit. Harriet's grave is also nearby in the Fort Hill cemetery.

On inauguration day, we visited and toured the Harriet Tubman Home and museum. Harriet Tubman was a major conductor in the underground railroad.

Having just received National Historical Park designation, this site provides the visitor a glimpse into the lives of slaves in the 19th century effort to gain freedom for slaves in the South. It is a course in history for school-age children and will serve as a real eye-opener. A must-see when in the Auburn area.

With an upcoming movie and the change in the $20.00 bill, I was very interested to learn more about this heroine. Harriet Tubman Davis came to life through our guide we called, Pastor. His passion to help us understand Mrs. Tubman's life and the important role she played in history was inspiring. I wanted to learn more. Pastor then led... More

The best part of the experience was the gentleman that provided the overview of Harriet Tubman's life and conducted the tour. He was so very well informed and you could tell truly enjoys what he does in sharing her life with everyone that visits. The tour of the home was good, however his presentation made this terrific.

Now that Harriet Tubman is going to be on our $20 bill, I wanted to know more about her. And boy, is there ever a lot to know! This unassuming visit started with a 25-minute review of the historical time line before, during, and after Harriet's life. Our docent, Paul--also the site manager--did a masterful job and the time flew... More

The Tubman House is a very interesting tour, and it was due to the very animated and engaging guide. Paul tells Harriet Tubman's story with dialogue and impersonations that make the facts of her life come alive. I knew I would like this place, but thanks to Paul I loved it!
