    Cebu City Tour
We joined a Cebu City Tour and one of the destination is the Taoist Temple. There is no dress code that is being followed since we wore shorts and sandals. But I think you need to wear appropriate clothing. There are areas that you're not allowed to take photos especially Altars, statues and altar backgrounds. You can start from the top portion or from the gate of parking. There's no entrance fee but you will pay parking before going inside the subdivision.

    Impressive Temple to visit
Taoist Temple is located outside the city so you probably need to get there by taxi, free to enter, although you need to wear a face mask. Visually stunning to see and walk around, temple has a couple of components to it so take your time and enjoy, main shrine no photos allowed, but OK for the rest of the site. A few stairs to walk up at the start to get to temple, so if you have mobility issues maybe a problem.

    Overrated tourist trap
A long steep hike. Mask rules in place in temple. No pictures in the temple. It felt like an obvious tourist trap. Overrated, very average. Had I known, I wouldn’t have gone. I wouldn’t go again or tell anyone to go.

A Place of Peace and Beauty
Located in the subdivision of Beverly Hills in Cebu City is the Philippine Taoist Temple. It is a place of worship that allows visitors to enter and enjoy the beautiful surrondings and sense of peace that fills the area. Photos of the buildings and various structures are permitted. However, photos are Not permitted inside the places of worship as a matter of respect for those who may be engaged in prayer. The design and artistry employed throughout the grounds is beautiful and if you are seeking a place to find solace, perhaps discernment, or just a quiet place to take in the scenery or see something different, the Taoist Temple is worth visiting. Parking is available at the foot of the grounds, and the entrance fee was only twenty pesos. We were there for just under an hour and were glad to have spent our time there.

You'll need a driver or a deposit or something to get through the security gates. Entrance is free but something like a passport has to be given up if you are driving a vehicle until you leave. Overall the Temple was very nice and peaceful. What was odd however was all the signs plastered all over the place to be quite only to find 3 old chinese men sitting down in the main hall yammering at the top of their lungs. I am pretty sure they are regulars there because no one disturbed them but everyone else was expected to have strict composure. Odd.

If you want a nice view added with some cardio then this place is for you! The temple has a hundred plus steps and is also a hundred and more meters above sea level. But this short workout is worth it because if you reach the top, you are treated with a panoramic view of Beverly Hills and Cebu going to Lapu-Lapu City. When entering the temple, you can make proceed to the hall of worship where you can pray and light a candle. The design of the temple is very detailed and is true to its Taoistic roots. There is also a wishing well and to finish it all off, a souvenir shop so that you'll have something to remember by when leaving the temple.

It is located within an elevated location with lots of greenery. The location offers excellent vistas of downtown Cebu City, with its skyscrapers but the bustling part of Cebu City seemed to be a world apart because you can enjoy serenity while being here in the temple.

The architecture is unique. I couldn’t find anything like it in the Philippines or other countries I visited.

Taoist followers go to the temple to pray, but the place is also open for tourists, do be considerate to those who go there to pray. We climbed stairs and explored different areas of the temple. It was a big temple.

Tea was provided for free.

Definitely worth a visit.

The place is so cool and magical, it feels like you're visiting a dungeon. It is all clean too, it has a playground nearby. Lots of areas you can take aesthetic-worthy pictures, and it's just amazing bc there is no entrance fee, but im not sure about it at the present.

Visiting the Taoist Temple in Cebu was such an amazing experience. As soon as I arrived, I was immediately struck by the peaceful atmosphere and the stunning architecture.

The prayer halls were serene, and I found myself taking a moment to reflect and connect with my spirituality. Lighting incense and making wishes felt incredibly meaningful and personal.

We drove up to the entrance today to find it's still closed due to that ongoing COVID-19v pandemic. You shouldn't bother coming up here until you're sure they're open again. The taxi drivers don't even know.

The buildings were beautiful, but it is a place to PRAY.
I felt uncomfortable with so many people treating it as a cute place for photo opps.
One of the guys inside the temple (priest? monk?) showed me how to pray and explained the mural at the back of the large temple.
