We joined a Cebu City Tour and one of the destination is the Taoist Temple. There is no dress code that is being followed since we wore shorts and sandals. But I think you need to wear appropriate clothing. There are areas that you're not allowed to take photos especially Altars, statues and altar backgrounds. You can start from the top portion or from the gate of parking. There's no entrance fee but you will pay parking before going inside the subdivision.

Taoist Temple is located outside the city so you probably need to get there by taxi, free to enter, although you need to wear a face mask. Visually stunning to see and walk around, temple has a couple of components to it so take your time and enjoy, main shrine no photos allowed, but OK for the rest of the site. A few stairs to walk up at the start to get to temple, so if you have mobility issues maybe a problem.

A long steep hike. Mask rules in place in temple. No pictures in the temple. It felt like an obvious tourist trap. Overrated, very average. Had I known, I wouldn’t have gone. I wouldn’t go again or tell anyone to go.

However, photos are Not permitted inside the places of worship as a matter of respect for those who may be engaged in prayer. The design and artistry employed throughout the grounds is beautiful and if you are seeking a place to find solace, perhaps discernment, or just a quiet place to take in the scenery or see something different, the Taoist Temple is worth visiting. Parking is available at the foot of the grounds, and the entrance fee was only twenty pesos. We were there for just under an hour and were glad to have spent our time there.
