The helicopter experience on Reunion Island clearly fits into my top 3 things done in life. It's just amazing, an hour of wonder (Excellency Tower). Our pilot was great, he shared his passion and made perfectly relevant and funny comments. I recommend this flight warmly, it is really the best option to see the majority of "must see" sites on the island optimizing its time but also enjoying the inaccessible viewpoints otherwise, even when hiking. I made a trip from Mauritius especially for this experience and it was clearly worth it.
On the other hand, the company is absolutely inflexible. If you have any question/wish, it will be "no". That's a shame. Also, be careful when booking, ideally, do not plan any more on that day because Flights change schedules the day before and drastically (in my case, the advance of the flight by 3 hours!).

We booked our 10am flight about a week in advance, and were lucky enough to have clear skies and ideal conditions.
Our family group of five included one 12 year old and three adults, of which one was over 80. One additional solo passenger also joined us, which filled the helicopter to its maximum of 6 passengers plus the pilot. Whether a sixth passenger came or not had no bearing on whether the flight went ahead or not.
We took the “Excellence de Saint-Gilles” flight, which takes 55 minutes and covers all the Cirques (Réunion’a famous calderas), the Piton de la Fournaise volcano (which was still in eruption) and breeching whales off the coast near Souris Chaude.
Our pilot was Ludo, who provided us with a commentary throughout the flight, and is clearly an exceptional and professional pilot.
The helicopter was comfortable and provided ample space for all six passengers. Two passengers sit in the front alongside the pilot, and the remaining four other passengers sit in one row behind. This means that two passengers are sat in the middle, but despite this everyone has a good view.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to take in the landscape of Réunion in one go, especially those who are unable to walk across the rugged terrain of the Cirques.

Nice helicopter ride with beautiful views of amazing Reunion! However, the organization is unprofessional and creates some inconvenience! note that: 1. before paying you are not informed that you must arrive at the helipad 30 minutes before your reservation time; 2. Only upon boarding the crew going to tell you that they will split you up and you won't be sitting together, even though you are a couple at love vacantion! 3. Without your consent, without valid reason and without even apologizing for the inconvenience, the company changes your departure time from 8:00 AM to 7:00 AM, which you booked and paid for 1 month earlier. in your seat for your flight (more comfortable and with better viewing light) accommodates last-minute bookings; 4. they call you the day before the flight to inform you of the change, but many places on the island do not have mobile coverage and a good signal, and you may not know about the change! Check in and take off hours are always confirmed the day before your flight as we can be subjected to operational necessities such as aerial work, public interest missions, minimum occupancy rates etc… We tried to reach you the day before via call, text, and email, as outlined in our sales conditions, you confirmed your attendance at 06:30 AM.
To answer your last question : if the time slot proposed the day before is not convenient, our clients can either postpone their overflight or be totally refunded.

Deplorable customer experience. Mail and SMS received the day before at 07h to validate the payment of more than 600 euros for a flight at 07h30 the next day (at the meeting from 11h the weather becomes really uncertain it is better to fly early ). Confirmation of the schedule from the customer service following the payment and finally call us back 4 hours later to announce that we are shifted to 10:45 the next day because two people have cancelled and the flight is no longer profitable for them. Do NOT trust this company and do NOT pay them any money. I read the reviews about flights being cancelled, but then at the airport we spoke to a representative and she advised that the flight was 'guaranteed' to go since there were already 4 passengers. She didn't tell us that they can cancel up to 24 hours before. She also said we had to pay there and then or we would lose our booking. She took my email address and phone number, I wrote them down and then checked them on the screen (which she suggested) but apparently when they went to contact me the day before somehow one number was missing from both!!!?? They later changed the story and claimed that my phone doesn't work in Reunion which is also not true. Needless to say, when i phoned up just to check whether the flight was happening (thankfully we didn't drive all the way there) it wasn't and I doubt they even tried to contact us. They WON'T refund (like the lava tunnels I booked through manawa.com did) and so you have to submit an email request for the money back. Nearly a month later we have received most of the money back, but of course we are £10 out of pocket because of their conversion rates. I've never reviewed a company before but this was thoroughly disappointing for us, so please avoid this company. They don't seem to care about their customers one bit and must be incompetent or lying to manage to confuse all my contact details. Maybe you'll get lucky, but you could end up thoroughly disappointed and out of pocket.

Either way, you have been refunded, the amount that has been paid for your bank guarantee which equals to 310€. Plus, we paid for 100% of the internationnal bank tranfer taxes, but can’t take the responsability of the conversion rates.

We had a unique and unforgettable outing at the meeting. We had booked the tour excellence at 8:15. ( 55 minutes flight)
We were able to see all the sites we had visited previously during our stay on the island and we took full eyes from beginning to end, it is really an extraordinary journey. The pilot François Régis explained all the points of view at each stage, he gave us time to take photos and positioned himself on the sites so that each side of the aircraft could see the sites.
We felt safe with this company, we recommend this company, it is a nice way to close our stay.

Effectivement 6 places passagers et le pilote. Je pense qu'ils ne partent que plein, le prix est déjà suffisamment élevé. Attention à la météo, le risque est de ne pas tout voir, ce qui nous est arrivé, donc tarif moins élevé aussi.

Désolée pour cette réponse tardive, mais je découvre avec plaisir que les internautes nous ont déjà bien devancé :) Voici cependant qqes informations supplémentaires. Les réservations se font en général 48h à l'avance, par téléphone.
Nous disposons d'hélicoptères ayant une capacité de 6 places passagers.
Un point météo est effectué 15 min avant le décollage. En cas de mauvaise météo, nous reporterons le survol selon vos disponibilités, ou bien il vous sera possible d'effectué un survol réduit en fonction de la météo. Le règlement s'effectue toujours au retour du survol en fonction du circuit réalisé.
Vous pouvez modifier ou annuler votre réservation sans frais jusqu'à la veille du survol avant midi.
Nous vous contactons la veille également afin de confirmer la réservation effectuée.
