The National Theatre house in Cluj is well worth a visit. In addition to theatre performances it also hosts a number of opera and ballet performances in the season, and ticket prices are (as one might expect) very sympathetic. The house looks a little run-down in places, but the atmosphere is on the whole great and the whole building has... More

Honestly? Stunning opera House but no where near the best acoustics as it was originally a theatre - a nice night at the opera... More

I went to the National Opera to see the ballet "Don Quijote". We were sitting downstairs, between the left side and the middle, and we had no problem to see what was going on on the stage.

...but the feeling coming from old time furniture and the dust almost everywhere it reduces the charm of the building. The atmosfere in the time of acting actors is great !

I have been to the National Theater for theater plays, opera and music concerts. It is a beautiful and majestic building. I am grateful for the variety of shows hosted in here, suitable for all ages. The last show was the Opera "The Barber of Seville" and small children were attending together with young people and older ones. Usually the... More

We love this place. Whenever we have the opportunity to visit Cluj we reserve a place at the theatre. The grandeur of this place and its history makes you feel as if in another world. Last time we were at Swan Lake and we were deeply impressed. We look forward to return very soon.
