Prospekt Mira is another museum like station in Russian capital.
Even if it's not your station, it is well worth getting out your train to admire the beauty.
The station has terrific marble on walls and plaster decorations over the vaulted ceilings.
However, the chandeliers here were the best I saw in the entire extensive Moscow metro system.

Somehow the station on line 5 is more rich in details than any connecting one. If you have time visit both as they are well decorated in similar fashion.

This is another beautifully decorated metro station in Moscow. Due to its proximity to the botanic garden, Prospekt Mira station has some lovely paintings depicting harvests and agriculture. The platform Line 5 is more photogenic.
