We were looking forward to seeing Russian countrysides between St. Petersburg and Moscow. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to see. Convenient means of a transportation without having to drive or fly.

We went from St. Petersburg to Moscow and back the same day. The bullet train made a one day visit to Moscow possible. It is 4 hours each way and reaches speeds of 200 kicks per hour. Since it would be a grueling 18 hour...More

We travelled business class on this train and the 4 hrs flew by. The bonus is not having to deal with traffic to and from airports. It is also fun to see the countryside.

The cabin was clean. The ride was comfortable. You don't feel any bumps at all when the train reached its maximum speed. The only downside is the views outside - they tend to be the same. The countryside is similar with no change of scenery....More

Super fast and smooth way to travel Moscow to St.Petersburg. Book ahead for peak times. Comfy seats and clean toilets. Bring sandwiches as on the expensive side. Passport check-in at the carriage door entrance. Safe way to travel.

TIP: Book your trip early, the popular times sell out. Note: not all parts of the train offer Wi-Fi :( Excellent, safe and convenient at a great price. We enjoy the freedom of walking around the train, enjoying a beer in the food car.

Yes but it will be a slow train and since it stops in many stations, it is not typically safe as the people entering train are not always in best behavior.
