Nice bookstore - with books in english

I highly recommend the store for all english-speaking folks in Moscow. Kinda old, but very welcoming and vibrant place with a spirit. In general I enjoy old bookstores, but they... read more

I highly recommend the store for all english-speaking folks in Moscow. Kinda old, but very welcoming and vibrant place with a spirit. In general I enjoy old bookstores, but they usually miss a good space planning and merchandising know-how of new chain-bookstores. This one is not an exception. I went there to buy a book for 5000 rub, and was... More

Located close to Lubjanka metro station, it is easy to find. We found what we were looking for ( map of the Altai region), so we were satisfied. They seemed to have a wide range of choice. If you are searching for a book in Moscow, they might have what you are looking for.

I spent there several hours and it was not enough. If you read in Russian, it a great place were to by different books for quite good prize. They also have a place where you can sit and read there. But they don't have many local souvenirs (like postcards, for example).

Biblio Globus has incredible selection of books at reasonable prices. One of the best selection I've seen in Moscow. For a westerner (like me), you get access to books not available in the west like the Krokodil magazine archives (soviet time magazine) I found there. Staff only speaks Russian but were friendly and tried to help me the way they... More

Biblio Globus is like the Tardis in Dr Who.....how do they pack so much into a relatively small space ! I visited a few days before the start of the new school year - big mistake! It was full of somewhat reluctant teenagers being made to get equipped for the new term by their mothers. Even so I found the... More

After going here once to pick up my internet order of Russian textbooks I swore to myself never set foot into this place again. It was jammed with people with no place to even turn, I had to squeeze through masses to find the room that serviced internet orders and then to wait another 30 minutes to get my order.... More

This is, probably, the first bookshop, coming to mind of any Muscovite, if you ask him, where to buy books. It has been functioning since 1957, and the fact it has been in business for so long should tell you it is a really good place, and the reasons, why, are below: 1. The variety of books: There are 3... More

I have been to this book store on numerous visits to Moscow and surprised that they are still in business. While it offers the best selection of books in English, it is grossly overpriced. The staff are the absolute worst! Don't expect a greeting when you walk in the door or pass one of them in an aisle. There was... More

Loved this bookstore - it is packed with wonderful books & has a very warm and welcoming feel to it. I also liked all the tiny little theme rooms and a lot of smart & interesting people ;)
