This was fantastic! We saw the show called Dark Universe Space Show from American museum of natural history - the most popular program in the Moscow Planetarium. Moscow Planetarium has a very powerfull Planetarium system: Zeiss Universarium Model IX LED. This system can provide much more quality, then modern digital projectors. Can't forget this awesome exhibition before the Space show... More

I have visit it several times. they have this fantastic machine Universarium M9 which is a projector of star sky. It is so modern, that when you watch its program it feels like you are in the mountains looking at real sky. So, you should always choose a program with Universarium demonstration. Before the program in big hall you will... More

Whilst in Moscow, we took a family visit to the Planetarium and after having booked a Tour with an English speaking guide and then watched the audio-visual show (English headphones provided). We were all amazed and delighted with the depth of knowledge and enthusiasm of our guide Anna and loved the audio-visual experience of the actual Show. We then rounded... More

Do remember to ask for headphones if you need to hear the show in English otherwise a pointless visit. We enjoyed the show we saw which we noted was mostly US produced. Shame as would have wanted to experience a Russian production of which I'm sure there were some. Lot's of exhibits to look at prior to entering the planetarium... More

The Planetarium has a lot to offer. We came for "The Dark Side of the Moon" laser show, but we had enough time and went to "uranium", where you can see and conduct different experiments from physics and astronomy. Exciting! :)) I mean it! It's good for both children and adults, don't miss it :)

Mostly Russian language but managed to get a English speaking guide for Mars Project. It was great and a different experience compared to elsewhere. Students will appreciate a lot.

The facility is new and impressive at first glance. We went hoping to see a show in the main dome and some exhibits so we asked about their schedule and whether anything was in English. We were told at the English speaking ticket window that all shows were in English, great!, so we bought tickets (600ru each) for the next... More

Staying in Presnensky

Neighbourhood Profile
The neighborhood is divided into two major halves by Krasnaya Presnya street: the southern part highlights Moscow city – businesses contained in skyscrapers along with the White House - where the Russian government works. The north is a bit more relaxed and casual, visitors here will find the Moscow zoo, National Centre for Contemporary Arts and a number of fine restaurants. The beautiful neo-gothic Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is usually packed with the events such as organ music concerts.
