We got tickets at the Bolshoi because that was the “Done” thing. We had low expectations for attending a ballet, as that is something we don’t do while at home. Even though we were ballet novices, we were overwhelmed by the quality and the artistry...More

Didn’t get a chance to go in but the external architecture was really powerful both during the day and lit up at night.

It is a place to visit; It was an utmost experience, specially for an opera lover. The stages, customs, voices, the story (Boris Godunov)... Again, the only "bad" thing: tourists and people making films and taking pictures, despite it is announced and informed you can't...More

This of course is the center of the ballet universe and the Mecca for the finest ballet ever. It is worth splurging for tickets. I had 2nd balcony (which was actually the 5th level); box 4 and seat one. Part of the stage view was...More

Mythical place you absolutely should see and experience. Wether it is for a ballet or an opera. Worth all the money.

I booked through the bolshoj website. There is a possibility to get a message when the new tickets are on the market. I asked for that. Then it was easy. I had several times contact with the same employee.
