Moreover, many churches including the famous Assumption cathedral were scaffolded when we visited the place in early May. Reconstruction is said to be accomplished by next December only.
Actually, the complex is divided into several attractions here, so I think it's a little bit pointless to describe it as a whole except for in grandiloquent but hollow expressions.
Thus, I'll do the job when reviewing its essential constituents.
It doesn't mean, however, that the place is not worth exploring. Just the opposite: please, do!

A small but picturesque area with a lot of photogenic churches and ancient walls.
You can really touch the history of these places.
I was here after the rain, there was a rainbow over the Kremlin.
Very beautiful place, definitely worth a visit!

Couple of major churches and an acting Monastery. Good place to test the quintessence of Old Ryazan, after you stroled the streets. And a very good colorful Museum collection on top. Souvenirs store will not let you leave with nothing on your hands - any budget will be satisfied. However, local WC is a thing in itself. Did they keep punished monks there in the old days?... But be brave - there is no other option, so, still you'll be relieved))

The kremlin territory is very nice for a walk around. Inside the building, there are 5 exhibits to visit (separate tickets for each, or as a package). The one in the main building is translated into English to a great extend, but for the other one, explanations are given in Russian only

The approach to this Kremlin is eye catching, as you cross a bridge then go around a bell tower. A couple souvenir stores are inside, as well as a couple museums

A collection of buildings all focusing on a different aspect of Ryazan's history. It was -6 degrees, 6 inches of snow and a welcome respite from the wind.

I was rather shocked that one of my companions, an 86 year old man, was accosted on the 2nd floor of one of the buildings for his ticket. Rather unnecessary considering that it was a very quiet 3rd January.

Really impressive. The old church with 13th century icon original from old Ryzan that was burnt by Mongols in 1237 is breathtaking. Liked the modular approach in the museum, separate tickets for all exhibitions. Down on the river below, a boat tour are offered, which are ok when weather allows but nothing special just a look at the river landscape
