The two craters at the top are spectacular, but the weather is fickle. On the day you go up, you might see a lot or nothing. There are a lot of groups that go up, so it's not a virgin wilderness experience. The climb is...More

Beautiful excursion partly with off road car and partly on foot. Sky and temperature were beautiful with a lot of snow. Volcanos still actives in the region

The hike to Gorely Volcano can be done in couple of hours, it's not as long and strenuous as other volcano hikes. The whole thing will take you a better part of your day though, as it's couple hour's ride by KAMAZ from either PPK...More

We climbed Gorely one day after the Mutnovsky volcano. Luckily it is not as steep and the trail is much easier. (see review together with Mutnovsky volcano)

About 4km one way with elevation of 700m from the bottom of the volcano. Easy route. Great views with volcano lake and panorama view of the mountain range from the top.

In Kamchatka it's all about the view and 2/3 of the time you cannot see anything further than 10m. If you are lucky you'll be impressed by the scenery. It is a good spot to meet bears. We did just walking there. Our guide told...More
