Just a monument. Nothing special. I think you can see it during walk in the Kremlin, but I don't think that you need to visit it specially.

A tremendous monument to 1000 years of Russia, with reliefs of various famous people from Russian history all around. Set in the middle of the Kremlin with good views of all parts.

Old Novgorod is most interesting with its Kremlin and, across the river, the old merchant quarter. You will need to stay overnight if travelling from St P because of the distance.

Looks just like a monument, but it is interesting to hear the story around it. Established for the 1000ths birthday of Russia. On weekends once per day free of charge guided tour.
