The boat are expensive for the country but it is the only way to get the island with helicopter. check the recent review concerning kizhi island : the church is being dismantled for repair ! I have posted a picture if you don't believe me...More

A trip to Kizi island takes abour 1,5 to 2 hours by hydrofoil depending weather. You will see waterfront view of Petrozavodsk and scenery on the way to Kizi is great.

The hydrofoil to Kizhi is something to experience. Unfortunately, it is the only way to the island. Take some sea-sickness medication if you don't have sea legs. Otherwise, just sleep it off. Wear GOOD walking shoes. Never mind how you look. Wear warm clothes if...More

The Kizi Island is open for visiting from the 1st of June, so the ferries are not operating before that.
