Enjoy the carillon concerts. Visit the site where Nicholas II and his family are interred. Peter the Great and Catherine the Great are interred as well. Holy and Historic space. Such gold leaf as to create awe.

The yellow cathedral which can be spotted across the river was very attractive to us to visit. There was no public transportation to get there without walking for almost 1 km. Inside the cathedral, there were tombs of the russian royal family in which we knew so little about. we bought combined tickets which allow us to visit all 5 attractions within the fortress. However, under heavy rains at times ruined our visit to other attractions.

The Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul is the oldest church in St. Petersburg, and also the second-tallest building in the city (after the television tower). It is intimately linked to both the history of the city and to the Romanov dynasty, as it is home to the graves of nearly all the rulers of Russia since Peter the Great.
The Peter and Paul Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox cathedral located inside the Peter and Paul Fortress in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is the first and oldest landmark in St. Petersburg, built between 1712 and 1733 on Zayachy Island along the Neva River. Both the cathedral and the fortress were originally built under Peter the Great and designed by Domenico Trezzini. The cathedral's bell tower is the world's tallest Orthodox bell tower. Since the belfry is not standalone, but an integral part of the main building, the cathedral is sometimes considered the highest Orthodox Church in the world
