Laid out as a series of concessions, this is a sprawling shop, with lots of different things for both locals and tourists. However, our walking tour did not allow for much time indoors, mainly using the building as a toilet stop for those that required it, allowing others a limited time to look round. However, I was intrigued to see... More

I walked and walked through small shops With staff and hardly any customers. On the ground floor it was mostly souvenirs, purses, shawls, toys, pens and some groceries, and on the first floor there were in one part very boring women's clothing and fur shop and a few bijoutery shops and in the other part very fancy and expensive men's... From the outside and from the historical perspective - it is OK and even interesting. Just don't go inside. Please. Once you are in, it is almost impossible to get out. And you walk through miles of goods that are of absolutely no interest to anyone from a Western country. I have no idea why anybody would recommend this place.... More

This place has over 300 years history, it is quite big,and there you can find any souvenir, from a simple fridge magnet to a sophisticated jewel. Elegant shops selling ceramics, hand painted, caviar and so on. The perfectest place to find everything under one roof.

So this is the old shopping centre and has been modernised for today's shopping needs. It has everything. We found a great vintage camera shop and souvenir shop with babushka half the price of Moscow! The building is amazing. Take a walk on the top floor to step back in time!

Gostiny Dvor is one of many architectural sites in St. Petersburg in general and on Nevsky Prospect in particular. The building houses a number of stores selling mostly items of interest to tourists such as souvenirs or jewelry. This is certainly worth a walk-though, especially down the neat old arcades, but I would not consider it a strong site in... More

Our private guide took us by St. Petersburg's largest and oldest department store, Gostiny Dvor. It is one of Nevsky Prospekt's most famous landmarks, and has been at the center of trade in the city for 250 years. You might say that Empress Elizabeth created the first shopping center. She decided to build a single, central arcade that would become... More

Directly above a metro station and right on Nevsky Prospekt you'll have no trouble finding this place. Filled with high-end shops, it is nothing special, until you go out onto the verandah on the first floor. At 1km in length you can get some amazing photos.

This place is famous for being a large old shopping center of St. Petersburg. Nice to visit for those who are interested in shopping.
