One of the best examples of Baroque-style architecture, this splendid blue and white "Sailors' Church" topped with five glistening golden cupolas contains many 18th-century icons, ten magnificent paintings and walls that convey the history of the Russian navy.

It is not a large Cathedral but a beautiful blue and white structure. the bell tower across is equally nice and overall a very serene place. The interiors are very beautiful and there were prayers on when we went. Great atmosphere

As we entered St Petersburg , our guide took us to this church. It is small but has a beautiful white blue design with gold top. Very attractive to look at this church consists of two churches, the upper church and the lower church. The...More

Your tour schedule should at least include a view of the Cathedral, if you don't have time to make a visit ( we didn't have time to put a visit on our trip)

This cathedral is a bit out of the usual touristic tours of St Petersburg, but it is the most beautiful cathedral of the city. It is very quiet and not crowded by tourists. It has a lovely facade light blue. The bell tower is located...More

Our tour group passed by this Cathedral by night time and strolled around to take pictures. The structures are beautiful as viewed from outside. We also learnt that the Cathedral is still functioning with services at noon. The stand alone bell-tower is also special as...More

More intimate than the big cathedrals, beautifully balanced design with a 2-levels church and a stand-alone bell tower. Attended part of an orthodox service here, a most interesting experience.

We had a tour photo stop outside the cathedral. At the time there was a ceremony where a group with priests walk around the outside and mark each side of the church with incense and holy water. As a result we did not go inside....More

I stayed here for 30 minutes, attending a service. As a tourist I could not go past the rope, but that's OK. Ladies, DO wear a head scarf if you go. this is an active church and it's insulting to see so many (female) tourists...More

Not as fancy as other cathedrals here but if you arrive at the right time (11am I believe) you will witness the service and the beautiful choirs, unforgettable!

Not quite as imposing as some of the others, but this was a working church, not a museum. The separate bell tower is famous and unusual.
