Open park area with walkways that opens to a very nice bak view of the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. Worth it alone for the view of the church. Was very peaceful, not a lot of pedestrian traffic while here.

This is an open space of land located near the Summer Gardens and back from the Neva river. There's an eternal flame here, but it's not really maintained in good condition. There's not that much of interest and it's not worth going out of your...More

Beautiful large park named after Mars, the Roman god of war. Situated right in the center of Saint-Petersburg. Bordering the Field of Mars to the north are the Marble (Mramorny) Palace, Suvorova Square and Betskoi’s and Saltykov’s houses. To the west are the Barracks of...More

A peaceful area, park in the heart of St. Petersburg. Come here for a rest or to admire the eternal flame in memory of those who fought in the revolution

If you want to have a break and sit for a while, this garden is nice. It commemorates the revolutionaries perished during 1917 February revolution, they are buried in the centre of the garden.

The Field of Mars is an open public space that was formerly a marshy area, drained to create a place for military parades and manoeuvres in the 19th century. Named after Mars, the god of war, the area was landscaped and refurbished into a war...More

A nice place to pass though to avoid the chaos of the roads and traffic. Nothing spectacular here- some Ok views and actual grass (that you're not allowed to walk on). There is an eternal flame for 1917 not WW2 as many believe. I wouldn't...More

The park has a central commemoratory pyre for the soldiers of the revolution, but aside from that 10 minutes was enough to get a flavor of what it is.

The "Field of Mars" holds a special place in the hearts of St Petersburg residents. Unless, you read about the history before you arrive it seems to be nothing special. A flat field with some type of structures in the center of the field. When...More

A great place to come and take 5 minutes or longer, plenty of seating and unlike some of the other parks you can go on the grass. Situated in the centre of the part is the eternal flame for the commemoration of fallen soldiers.
