as far as not being religious goes, and not really being into churches etc, this building is well worth a look IF you are in the area, its by a nice park in a quiet part of the city.

We didn't get to see it from the inside, but the building is gorgeous! Essentially the whole building is decorated with the mosaic - it is really something special!

it lays close to peter and paul fortress. its massive dome and the two minarettes can be seen from far distance. an interesting contrast to all the other domes and towers of the cityscape. this historic mosque is truly beautiful. the exterior was under reconstruction this summer.

The inside is both simple, and elegant - allowing for quiet reflection regardless of faith. Inside the southern part, facing Mecca, is ornately decorated with tiles forming Arabic lettering. Anyhow, it only takes a few minutes to walk spot the mosque from the Gorkaya Metro station, so really why not visit this incredibly unique piece of architecture?

The masjid is about 500 meters from the Gorkovskaya metro station. During our visit to St. Petersburg, we had a chance to do a Jum'ah prayer in this beautiful masjid. I was late and the male section is already full but my wife had a chance to pray inside it. The outside wall are all covered with this beautiful blue... More

First of all , You should know all mosques are open public. You can visit it with proper clothing on and outside of prayer times. There is no fee to enter. As this building is used for praying you should respect people while they are praying as you should do in Churches, Cathedrals, Synogogues. It was in renovation in February... More
