Stroll along the banks to the Peter and Paul Fortress during the day to have a lovely view of St Petersburg. Stay on the town side for lovely sunsets. Do not expect to get much spectacular food wise. But there will always be something at...More

This is a really nice river to walking along, taking in the awesome views of the fortress, lights houses, bridges and beautiful architectural building. It can get quite chilling with the wind blowing off the river even on a sunny day.

This should be a show piece but sadly the pavement is very uneven and slopes dangerously towards the road. We were there is winter and the ice covering was quite dangerous. It would be impossible for a wheel chair user. Having said that it is...More

This is a must see when in St. Petersburg as one will be able to see the building lining the embankment. It is nice in winter when part of the river is frozen. There are also interesting monuments around the embarkment which symbolizes the history...More

This is a review of the River Tour via boat. The boat is essentially a very wide barge with plenty of outside seating and also a covered area for inclement weather. Our guide was a young Russian girl just back from studying in the USA,...More
