I had just one day in Novosibirsk and visited this memorial, since I have seen many in different Russian cities. + memorial in a nice park + no costs - at the end of one railway station and around 20min walk - there are better...More

This has a war memorial with the fire burning all year around in commemoration of the soldiers who died in the II World war. On a lighter note there is a interesting selection of war machinery including tanks and plane anyone can climb upon ))
