So I've been told the statue is based on a poem of some poet. Call me simple... but I just though "oh... look, two dogs holding hands". Some say it brings luck to pet them... looking at their shine there must be many lucky people...More

This is the symbol of homeless dogs. It is very big problem in Russia. And zoodefenders sometimes make meetings and pickets. When there were murders of dogs, people brought toys and photos here in sign of solidarity and sympathy

I walked past these dogs every day, it is said that if you stroke them it will bring wealth and luck. they were shining after I left town

You must absolutely do a photo beside the two dogs located in the Main Street of Krasnodar. Really funny and unique!

Famous Russian writer Mayakovskiy's quote is right above the sculpture: "This isn't a dog's boons, it's' the dog's capital!" they are really cute )

A very nice little sculpture with famous poet Mayakovsky's words about Krasnodar, explaining that it is the city of the nice dogs. Looks a very poopular tourist attraction, judging by the dogs' shining copper noses rubbed by millions of hands :-)
