Must see when you visit Volgograd. Excellent museum covering the battle of Stalingrad, Museum sits beside remaining flour mill that is one of the few building left after the battle. Museum offers audio tapes in several languages. Many artifacts from the battle and great presentation.

take the river route from the Europa Mall and it's 25 minutes along the Volga to the old mill museum. Nice walk even in 35 degree heat!

Do this as part of seeing the Mill and Museum. Lots of old armourments to see right along the Volga.

The Embarkment has a very nice view of the river Volga. It's right at the end of the Alley of Heroes, and from there you can take a walk down the border walk by the river. Nice place.

Beside the Volga and behind Lenin Square, an excellent photo opportunity with tanks and heavy artillery.

Trying to walk to the museum from, let's say, Alley of heroes, is quite tedious as the embankment does not go all the way along river. I understand, Volgograd is a long town, but after seeing embankments in, let's say Samara or Saratov, I have...More
