Efficient and cheap though there´s only one line. (A new line will soon be opened.) Don´t expect the stations to be like the ones in Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

We enjoyed using the Yekaterinburg subway, as it was a safe and inexpensive method of travelling. It usually required a combination of subway and tram car or bus to reach your destination, as the subway does not have a wide coverage of the town. We...More

OK, so I'm a bit of a subway/underground/light rail nerd so even though I didn't need to use the Metro I decided to anyway. For less than £1 you can ride the full length (which isn't long considering it's one of the shortest Metro systems...More

A limited but efficient way to hit major points in Yekaterinburg. I sampled several stations along the way just to see the artwork. Not as glamorous as the Moscow Metro, but still very good artworks focusing on the features of the local area. The Yekaterinburg...More

I like the subway line of this city. It can be convenient if it goes in your direction. Unfortunately, there is only one line with nine stations.

The metro is less ornate than in Moscow or St. Petersburg and it is really just a single main line. Nevertheless it is affective way to get from the train stations to points north or south for 26 rubles. Trains are frequent and fast
