We had been to this zoo with family . There are beautiful wild animals and birds . The zoo is near main city . Very well maintained place and food items are available . However, It seemed that the building engineer had forgotten the installation of flushes . The wash rooms were stinking . Hope authorities will look into it . otherwise it is worth visiting place and one enjoys with family . Other thing note worthy was the hunger of animals . Authorities must take care of animals . The timings are till 2 am and Fridays are open as well.

This was the first zoo I visited in the whole of Middle East. I had initial apprehensions from reading online reviews but still went ahead as the kids were really keen to meet the animals.

Tickets sell for SR15 for everybody above 4 years. Free entry otherwise.

The initial exhibits on the left side of the zoo were appalling. The animals were locked behind double wall of grilles and it was difficult to see the animals behind. Most of them were asleep, hiding in some nook and cranny. I already thought of writing off the whole place as a scam.

However we went ahead and saw the giraffe and elephant enclosures, so on and so forth and after a while I thought it's not that bad really if one chooses to ignore the double grilles. The Taif Zoo is not big and the wide expanse of empty space makes it just nice for families to spread a carpet under the shades and spend quality time together and for kids to have fun looking at the animals. Despite the relatively small space, the quantity of animals kept here was ample in my view. Some of them were really attractive to kids like the billy goats, cats, marmots and birds.

The zoo also has a dolphin show but it only starts at 5.00pm, a bit too late for us.

Disgusting vile place for animals, they are not well taken care of and often have visible injuries or diseases. All the animals are in cages that don’t fit them and look depressed, malnourished, and in pain. This “zoo” should be shut down because all its doing is torturing animals who deserve better. I cannot stress how much this zoo is a bad experience for both the animals and the people visiting.

I reached there with my kids, there is SAR 10/- per person ticket for adults as entry fees, we found the Zoo is very cleaned with many animals most of the attractions was the large grassy areas plus the golf cars which is avaible on rent for hourly basis, as far as the animals are concerned we were amazed to see Elephant, lamas, hourses, different types of camels....the other good thing is the funland with many colorful rides which is another attraction for tourist.

Overall the place is a must visit if you are going or passing by taif specially for kids amusement.

Most of the animals are sick and have weird illnesses , a pop eyed ostrich , a three legged bull and a stranded camel.
the only animals that look fine are the baboons, goats , bears , camels.

The zoo was terrible. It is worth a visit but do not expect anything.
The place had a obscure smell coming from everywhere and the animals were malnourished.
Food was not of a decent standard and the facilities were disgusting.
Had a few decent animals but they were not very well kept and maintained.

They had a a variety of animals (lions, gazelles, deers, elephants, Llamas, different kinds of camels, bears, horses, goats, ducks, snakes, lizards, differents birds etc.)
Good place to keep my 3 and 4yr old busy. Plus there were a few reasonably priced toy/gift shops and small cafeterias. Overall pleasant!
