A bit under whelmed with our walk along Shangxiajiu Street. The walk from the subway station was more interesting. On a warm day it's great to get a dish of fresh cut fruit to go at 1 of the stalls ... delicious

Street is open about 1030 in the morning, however life picks up at night. The shops are a mixture of international and local brands. All kinds of food and street food, including McDonald's. hard to describe, just be here and join the crowd. The street is also joined by many side streets - some specializes in frozen food, some sells... More

One can find many old established Cantonese restaurants here. Nice pedestrian walking street (no vehicles allowed) and many shops. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of good food around and nearby. Wish I had more time to try more food.

Visited twice during our recent China Tour. Cheaper shopping here compare to Beijing Road Shopping Street. Plenty to shop and many eateries in the vicinity. Many traditional bakeries for tourists to bring home cookies and biscuits. Near Shamian Island so can time the two visits together.

I quite enjoyed this despite being hungry and tired when I got to it. A bewildering blur of noise light and errant cyclists that eventually woke our toddler up.
