Very friendly; nice place with lots of Chinese tourists. I did not see any foreigner. Local food very good. Fantastic coold coconut water. Buildings are interesting but the whole setting deserves a visit

The other reviews don't do the old port justice. It's quiet during the week but comes alive on the weekend with a real array of food, drink and stalls of all kinds. Highly recommend a couple of hours to walk around then eat then shop.
