The city is located within the city of Guilin. After you pass through the tunnel/gate depicted on the tripadvisor page, you actually are in the Jingjiang Whangcheng City - no entrance fee required. You'll have to pay a fee only enter the park called "The...More

As a tourist it is expensive to visit the site 110 RMB -despite what others have written about you do not get a discount if you are over 60 unless you are a Chinese national. Almost all of the exhibits are in Chinese with little...More

The outside of this site is worth the visit (together with the antique rickshaws which are placed in an alcove to the right of this lion), but the entrance fee seemed stiff to us, so we stayed outside the inner area.

This place is expensive to get in at 120rmb for what is effectively a big park. You can wander around amongst the many Chinese tour groups (no English audio guides or signs). Overall a bit expensive just to wander for an hour

Admission to this area was expensive, even for Guilin. If you can understand mandarin Chinese, you can take the guided tour, to learn more about the history and significance of the area and visit some interesting caves; otherwise, do note that not much of the...More

This palace, now part of Guilin university was probably very damaged during the Cultural Revolution and there is now an attempt to renovate it. The entrance ticket is expensive and the tour is guided. The necessity to be led by a guide makes the visit...More

I'm talking about the Jingjiang prince palace, which was marketed as the best preserved Ming dynasty prince palace. This might be true, because I suspect all the other Ming dynasty prince palaces were probably either completely destroyed, or are almost completely destroyed. If you want...More
