Beautiful location, not as popular with the tour groups.

Unfortunately I went on a rainy day, so the views weren't as amazing as promised, but I also pretty much had the place to myself. There is a lot of stair climbing, which can be slippery in the rain, but if you're healthy and able, it's a really nice place to visit for under 40 Kaui

There are actually 3 tops so follow the map and go to all of them, different views from each. The wind cave is cool 😜 I went there twice since it was a boiling hot day. Remember to refer to the area as Diecai Hill with locals, anyone I asked about "folded brocade " looked at me funny. i spent... More

This is an attraction that offers climbs up mountain sides and offers panoramic views of the city and Li River. It is worth the climb although it is steep and can be slippery in wet weather. The view depends on the weather as well, so take this into account. There are more than 400 steps on the way up to... More

If you really want to get some great photos looking over Guilin then this is the place. There are 3 main hills to climb that at times can be quite steep. The effort is rewarded with spectacular views over Guilin and a good workout at the same time. Leave Bright Moon Peak as your last climb and then pay the... More

I stayed at a hotel along Zhongshan South Road near the Guilin Railway Station. Early morning, I woke up at 5 am and commenced my morning walk to Decai Hill. The route to the destination was a straightforward one, walking from Zhongshan South Road to Zhongshan Chong Road and then Zhongshan North Road. Diecai Hill is just around near the... More

If you really want to climb the garst to see the views of Guilin, then it's worth paying the park entrance fee. But it's a long, sweaty climb and better views are available from the city centre. It is just as interesting to stroll around the outside of the park, following the new and old city wall and river. You'll... More

You get a great view of Guilin for here. We walked up on a very hot and humid day so it was a bit sweaty... Not for the elderly or those who have a hard time walking or are totally out of shape.

Simple and quick hike that offer nice views of Guilin. The good luck ride is an interesting way of going back down. Wouldn't say it is a must see tough.

If you only do one thing in Guilin, this should be it. The park offers panoramic views over the city and the lakes and rivers that surround it. Paths are well-signposted and the whole area makes a good afternoon's walk. .
