This is one huge park, lot's of nothing. A bike would be great to cover the grounds. There are some some museums in the main buildings. A great deal of walking. Some people enjoyed flying kites. If you have lot's of time on your hands...More

Nothing much to see there except a miniature village replica. The history behind the place is fascinating though.

ok, if you do not like to walk this is not for you. The name says it already: it is a *big* park, in fact it was the (?) greatest palace ever built in history: 4km². On the surface you will have to read the...More

Don't waste your time here. Better to read it up in some literature or watch some dvd. A big space of nothingness.

We first saw this place from riding a bike along the city wall and it looked interesting so we noted where it was and the next day we traveled there. It was very huge and expansive. I think it would be better to get a...More

Roughly about 1/3 of the size of the old city of Xi'an, this park is huge. I visited this place on a windy day so there were hundreds of people flying kites here. You can easily purchase a kite from the numerous vendors if you're...More

This is an enormous park just north of the ancient city wall, but there isn't much in the way of flowers, plants, or statues. Vast empty spaces mostly, and not many locals exercising. There are some museums on the grounds, available for a fee. The...More

Does anyone know the opening hours of the park?

There are many areas in this park. The general opening hours is 9 to 5 pm. The IMAX cinema timing may varies so better be there before 5 pm. The IMAX show is not bad and show what the palace would look like.
