If you have travelled to Xian to see the terracotta warriors then its worth the while to make a stop at Han yan ling to see how the warriors evolved over time and with the changes in dynasties. The warriors here are smaller and there...More

A very interesting and well laid out museum, set in very attractive and well-maintained parkland. While the tomb of Emperor Jingdi is yet to be excavated, much work has been done on the surrounding land containing many clay figures, human and animal and other artifacts...More

As others have commented, this tomb is between the airport and the city. It is interesting on a number of levels, not least the presentation, in which the visitor actually goes underground to walk through the tomb, either looking down through perspex or sideways into...More

gave up going to look at it as you had a very long walk before you got the mound of earth where the tomb is. After walking around the terra cotta army we gave this a miss.

I made the mistake of seeing this attraction after visiting the terra-cotta warriors, which is hard to live up to. I was on my own and took public transport up to see it, which may influence how I had been expecting a more worthwhile experience...More

Living in Xi'an I only visited this place recently, and I'm glad I did! It is amazing to see all those doll like statues, the animals... the atmosphere is really intimate, as it is quite dark to preserve the statues and it is not crowded.
