We know this place from photos of YVC.We really love this rural life,and landscape here. We hiked about 1 hours around Qi Cai Po (Chinese),that places is best view point of Red Field.

It is only beautiful, maybe, when nothing crowing there. Too much tourists making photos of a farmer with his goats. The accommodations are also poor.

April may be the wrong season to see the multi colored fields but nevertheless it is still very scenic. The road going up is quite bumpy as it is up the mountain and chilly at night with no entertainment being in a village.

Recommended to reach Luo Xia Gou before sunset. Stay at a hotel nearby and take pictures of the sunrise at the same place. There are many places that you can check out and stake out with your cameras before sunrise the next day. Sunrise happens...More

Redlands in Yunnan is still relatively hidden from tourists. While Yuanyuang boasts of its beautiful rice terraces, Redlands is breathtaking with its red, brown, yellow and green terraces. It's a great place for photographers although one must rely on the weather and different view points...More

We went to Dongchuan with the suggestion of my photography friend. The area is very photogenic and with our guided tour, we were able to catch all the highlights we should have.
