On display here is a collection of things associated with Chinese medicine. The museum is on the upper floor of the building; on the lower floor is a Chinese medicine pharmacy. English labeling is present.

When you strolled along Hefeng Street, you would be caught sight of large white wall with Chinese characters on it, and it was the name of the museum. It was very famous, apart from the medicine display there, there were also Chinese doctors practicing at...More

As a medical doctor and a dentist this was a very interesting place to visit. We went with our guide (David, China Highlights). He helped explain the principles of traditional chinese medicine and could tell about it's story. The pharmacy has been there since 1874...More

The aromas of the herbs and other ingredients used in traditional Chinese medicine was what hit me first, and the fact that we passed through what looked like a working pharmacy (my wife thinks it was more wholesale, but I am not so sure). I...More

We were fortunate to have an acupressure and then a consultation by a Professor. Very interesting, not everyone needed any medicine but those that did advised that the professor was spot on!

You almost expect to see around you old Chinese doctors, in traditional costumes. Also a good place to buy medicines made after the traditional recipes. Hangzhou is a very important medicine and pharmacy center.
