We had great fun in this place, the exhibits are interestingly displayed and there are lots of interactive exhibits to take part in too, no matter what your age. The staff are helpful and friendly. The views from the top of the chair lift are spectacular too - get a combined ticket to see both. A great half day out.

Very hard to find. Thanks to locals I found my way. Worth it though. Get the combo lift ticket / museum. Go to the third floor outside to get tickets. Do the lift then go to the second floor and do museum. I didn't realize til after I left the restaurant specialized in lamb. Wish I would've done that.

I thought this is just a "museum" showcasing ski & snowboard history in japan, but I'm wrong !! Oh dear, it's full of exhibition and attraction that you can try out as if a simulator of all the diff winter sports in Olympic ! Not boring at all! Perfect for family, with children or even couple! Real fun!

The museum is at the foot of the Arukayama Ski Jump, where the relevant events were held for the Winter Olympics. I was able to ride to the top ( and down!) on a chair lift and I recommend it. Until you see it from the top you cannot really grasp just how high it is. Given that it was... More

You can learn a little history and practice your hand at some winter sports (virtual goal protecting, x-country ski racing, ski-jump, ice skating spinner, bobsled simulator). Kids in elementary and junior high were free. Adult price very reasonable too. Conveniently located next to Okurayama Ski Jump - great activity for locals and tourists alike without taking all day. Restaurant on... More

Sapporo Winter Sports Museum is a must do for a snowsports lover! I had so much fun! It only cost ¥600 and on Monday I was the only guest there. The top floor features an exhibition on history of skiing and the other part is dedicated to 1972 Winter Olympic Games in Sapporo. You can see official program, copy of... More

This was a great day out. The chair lift to the top of the ski jump was good and the view from the top scary, for a ski jumper, and impressive. The Museum was very informative with great interactive games for young and old., a lot of fun. A nice shop for the nicnacs to take home and a good... More
