Get out of the heat or cold and walk for miles of shops underground. There was also a craft fair going on. Escape the vehicle traffic and stroll in wide open tunnels.

The underground pedestrian is great and connected many interesting locations such as clock tower, Park and JR station. There are lots of activities on sideways during the time I visited such as recycle exhibition and farmer markets.

Visited this one early evening. Lots of people and LOTS of stores and food shops. Interesting but can't say it's cheap or expensive. Accessible and clean.

It was winter when we went and it could be quite cold to walk in the underground. Hence, do make sure that you keep yourself warm.

The best thing I can say about this is that it provides a lot of people with a weather proof way to get around a large part of Sapporo.

Lots of stalls selling handcrafts that are delicately made. Community activities & displays as well such as school kids dance session, flowers arrangements ... etc. Fun to visit during weekends.

In the cold days where you find thick snow everywhere...walking by the underground can help. There are plenty of exits which somehow a bit confusing.
