A visit will provide an excellent vista of Sapporo and getting there by tram is part of the "adventure", rug up well in the cold.

Mt Moiwa Ropeway is a must-visit in Sapporo city because its just very near the hotels -- like 10 to 15 mins away plus they have a really good lunch/dinner place at the top with a priceless view 😊 Our 2 year old baby enjoyed the view going to the top :)

The ropeway is easily accessed via tram ( streetcar) . From the stop you can either take a short walk to the ropeway station or wait for the shuttle bus. The trip up the mountain is divided into two sections which you need to purchase tickets for . If you decide to stop at only the first station . There... More

The best way to access the ropeway is by tram. Once there it is totally user friendly and to reach the top the use a cable car initially and then you transfer to a rail car. Views of Sapporo are wonderful

Great views of the city day or night. Well worth the time and cost. Easy to get to by subway and tram. The ropeway (or gondola ride) is enjoyable and there's a restaurant there with great views.

This is one of the three most beautiful night views in Japan and it is well worth waiting for cable cars to climb to the top. The view is truly magnificent. It gets crowded from the dusk to the closing hour so make enough time to get down. Cable cars are extremely silent.

You should be able to find a coupon or two for Moiwa Ropeway somewhere. (We got a coupon book for free at the exit of the Chitose airport, with a discount coupon for Moiwa Ropeway (1,700 to 1,500 JPY round trip.)) There is a hillside station where you change ropeways. Anyway, the night view of Sapporo from the mountain top... More
