A hospital standing in place of the massive destruction that occurs at the hypocenter of the blast. A strong testimony of the spirit of the survivors to rebuild what was lost.

I was expecting to see a larger memorial or sculpture or garden. This is in a quite small lane way. The memorial is by the side of a building. Look at the photos of the area and use your map to find. Incredible to think...More

Unless you knew about this, you'd never see it. It is one block off the edge of the peace garden. If you stood in the garden and looked back at the museum, it would be on your left. Exact spot where bomb was detonated 500'...More

I was rather disappointed that the Hypercenter was just a plaque and nothing else. I visited Nagasaki 3 days before my trip to Hiroshima. Nagasaki put more effort with their history as compare to Hiroshima. They turned the Hypocenter to a park and set up...More

They could have done better with where thebhyper center or ground zero was. Instead, it is on the side of a small street near the back of a random building. All you see is a plaque and how it tells you it was ground zero.

The medical clinic behind the sign, was very touching/ moving. A place of hope. The bad of the bomb counteracted by the good of the clinic

It's very difficult to imagine how this place was and how it looked like now. Basically, you just can't really tell as it is now just a surgical clinic building.

There is just a plaque to tell you about it but its quite moving being at the site where you can reflect on it all. Easy to find.

This spot is hard to find if you aren't using the Hiroshima map for 'buildings and places hit by the bomb'. It's between a car park and a convenience store, on a back street. But isn't that just like how Japan has recovered. Not making...More

Ground Zero or the hypocenter of the atomic bombing in Hiroshima is this place and actually it was 600 meters above the ground where the bomb had exploded. It is within walking distance from the Hiroshima Peace Memorial park and Atomic Bomb Dome. There used...More
