we only visited for a couple hours, wandering around- and didn't go into any of the houses, but it was a lovely afternoon with a really different feel to the rest of the city, and Japan. definitely worth a look, despite the hills.

This is a cool area for lunch or if you have some time to burn although not a must do, only a few buildings are historical.....great place for a change of lunch area if you are doing a multi day kobe visit enjoy !!!
