Nice falls close to Shin Kobe! Easily accessible

For sure a must when being in Kobe. The falls are so easily reached. It's so close to Shin Kobe. (20 min) I used the app maps.me to locate it exactly. But it also seems to be well... read more

I loved the chill of the coming winter as I walked though the path. I was delighted to see a group of special needs children and their parents/educators on the trail. Really brought back fond memories of a past job. It showed that even people with special needs could enjoy the trail. That said, certain segments are steep and requires... More

For sure a must when being in Kobe. The falls are so easily reached. It's so close to Shin Kobe. (20 min) I used the app maps.me to locate it exactly. But it also seems to be well indicated. Once at the falls there are some benches to enjoy the view. The area is quite nice and I believe there... More

These falls are about 20 minutes walk from Shin-Kobe station, and that is what makes them so amazing. I don't think there are many cities in the world where you could find such a pristine natural site within 20 minutes walk of downtown. I recommend taking the cable car one way up to the herb gardens and then making the... More

A great spot not too known by tourists. A 20 min hike to the main waterfall, the walk is steep but lovely surrounding by jungle. If you want to go for a swim, instead of going up the mountain, head underneath the station bridge (just before you turn up the road with the map, theres a small path on your... More

Very short hike but can be extended much further up the mountain if you'd like. Paths and falls are lit at night and just use your phone flashlight for the few darkish areas.

We walked down from the Herb Garden to get to the falls. It took us about 35 - 40 mins from the top. After you get out of the Middle station gate, it changes to public land so its just an access road. Its also possible to walk up to the waterfall directly from Shin Kobe station.

Just 15 - 20 minutes walk from Shin-Kobe, it's a really calm hill with a beautiful waterfall. Hard to imagine of experiencing this kind of a nature hike which is situated right behind the Shin-Kobe Station. There are lots of foreign and local tourists and you can actually feel the comfort of nature while climbing the hills.

You can not believe just behind the super bullet train track, there is a calm and woodsy hill which you climb in half an hour. You'are instantly in the mountain, listening to waterfall and singing birds. Fellow climbers greets you on passing. It's an easy climb any one can do.

Hard to resist a short walk up a fairly steep hill after a great shinkansen ride. And right behind the station, too! Take it easy, enjoy the walk, and you come to Nunobiki Falls which is beautiful. And a challenge to photographers because of its height and the close proximity of the viewing platform (from which may be the better... More
