Nishiki Tenmangu is located in Nishiki Food Market and it was such a nice surprise for us. We did not expect to see a holy structure within the food market however it also adds a value to the market itself. In the end you can...More

At the end of Nishiki Market street, Nishiki Tenmangu is dedicated to Sugawarano Michizane, a scholar of the Heian Period. It is a very small schrine. So, don't overlook!

Small shrine but a lot of people almost toward the end of Nishiki market. There are many drug store, desert shops, souvenir shops, and restaurants nearby.

Located slap bang in the busy shopping area a lovely little temple well worth a quick visit - looks really pretty at night when the lanterns are lit you will probably stumble on it when shopping so no need to make a special visit

When you are walking around the Shin Kyogoku Shopping Street, you will encounter this super small, but very neat shrine. Since it is on the Nishiki Koji Street at its easternmost spot, it is called the Nishiki Tenman-gu Shrine or the “Tenman-gu Shrine at Nishiki...More

What a beautiful peaceful place that has a lot for the eye to see. There's old houses to shrines to pools of grass carp. Enjoy the peace and quite.
